    Starting 48 hours before departure, you can choose a Standard or Preferred seat at no extra charge when seats are available. Up to eight additional passengers on the same reservation are also eligible. This perk applies to Southwest flights with assigned seating in 2026 and beyond.

Airline Status

  • Status Boost (Tier Qualifying Points)

    For every $5,000 in card purchases each year, you earn 2,000 Tier Qualifying Points toward Southwest A-List or A-List Preferred status. There is no cap on how many TQPs you can accumulate this way, and they count alongside TQPs earned from flying.

Travel Insurance

  • Baggage Delay Insurance

    Reimburses up to $100 per day for up to 3 days when your baggage is delayed more than 6 hours. Use it to cover essential purchases like toiletries and clothing while you wait. Keep your receipts and file a claim through the card's benefits administrator.

  • Lost Luggage Reimbursement

    Covers repair or replacement costs up to $3,000 per covered traveler if checked or carry-on baggage is lost, damaged, or stolen during a covered trip. File a claim through your card's benefits administrator after the incident. Coverage applies to the cardholder and eligible traveling companions on the same itinerary.

Purchase Protection

  • Purchase Protection

    Covers new purchases against damage or theft for 120 days from the purchase date, up to $10,000 per item. Pay with your card to activate coverage, then file a claim with the benefits administrator if something goes wrong. Does not cover lost items.

  • Extended Warranty Protection

    Adds one extra year to a manufacturer's U.S. warranty on eligible purchases. It applies to original warranties of three years or less, extending coverage up to four years from the purchase date. Pay for the item with your card to activate protection.

  • Employee Cards at No Additional Cost

    Add employee cards to your account at no extra charge, with the ability to set individual spending limits for each cardholder. Purchases made on employee cards earn Rapid Rewards points that go to the business account. There is no stated limit on the number of employee cards you can add.
